Exponent Philanthropy Introduces New Chief Program Officer

Cynthia SchaalExponent Philanthropy is pleased to announce Cynthia Schaal has joined the organization as Chief Program Officer. In her position, Schaal will lead the development of programs and services that guide and connect member philanthropists and champion the impact of their work in the philanthropic community.

Schaal joins the Exponent Philanthropy team after spending the past 19 years at The Advisory Board Company. Since 2006, Schaal served as the practice manager of the Advisory Board’s Philanthropy Leadership Council.

Berman, CEO, Exponent Philanthropy, “She is well-versed in helping the philanthropic community to achieve outsized impact, including having extensive experience in generating best practice insights and resources for nonprofit hospital and health system leaders.”

Schaal received her undergraduate degree in Russian from Georgetown University and her master’s degree in education from Harvard University. 

When not spending time with her family, Cynthia enjoys writing, dabbling in various hobbies, and participating in initiatives that empower children and families.
