Great Funder-Nonprofit Relationships

A Program for Funders & Nonprofits as part of the Philanthropy Lessons Live series*
Navigating the complex funder-nonprofit relationship is vital to mission success. Often, it seems, nonprofits do the asking, reporting, and proving, while donors sit in positions to say yes or no, how much, when, and what’s required. Achieving balance takes more than just good intentions—it takes flexibility, finesse, and a sincere desire to acknowledge and address the power dynamics at play.
In collaboration with the National Council of Nonprofits, we invite you to join nonprofits and funders alike for a half-day of facilitated programming dedicated to helping everyone build better working relationships and increase the impact of their work. Interactive learning models and limited program size creates a powerful environment that fosters shared learning and an opportunity for open honest conversation.

*Philanthropy Lessons is a video series and campaign produced by Exponent Philanthropy, funded by the Fund for Shared Insight, and released in partnership with The Chronicle of Philanthropy. Together, to help others be more effective and efficient in creating the change they want to see in the world, we are sharing words of wisdom from some of our industry’s most inspirational funders about what they have learned throughout their philanthropic careers.
